Playing with My Christmas Toys

My husband is in the office playing with all the technical stuff that he asked Santa for to work with the new iMac computer he got several weeks ago. So I came into my work area to play with all that Santa brought me as well.  I think Santa Bob was in cahoots with Santa Dave Miller at Rubbernecker Stamp Company as I had a big box full of Ranger Adirondack Bright Dye ink pads and reinkers, a Zutter Bind-it-All and wires and some new stamps under the tree.  Woo Hoo!  I decided to put my toys to good use on today’s Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge to use Green Galore, Glorious Green and Red. I happily used my new bright ink pads and reinkers for today’s project.  I love the Adirondack inks.  I used a blender pen dipping directly into reinkers and painted directly on the stamped image. After stamping on watercolor paper, I filled in with a watercolor brush and then outlined a little with my black artist pen.  These colors could have been made easily into another Christmas card but I chose to go for a bright spring/summer "chirpy hello" card.  As you can probably tell…I wrote out the sentiment freehand.  What a fun change from Christmas cards.
