The Limited Supply Challenge today on Splitcoaststampers was to recreate a card done in the past and simplify it. I chose to the Dirty Dozen Penguin challenge card I did this week and brought it down a couple of notches. I stamped all the images in the same places and painted with reinkers and a brush just I had on the first card. Instead of using Copic Markers for the icy pond I painted on gray with a brush. I painted on gray for the ground snow to replace all the white craft ink and embossed snow done on the original. I used Liquid Applique to create falling snow and snow for the trees and ground area. I left lots of ground area open so the gray would show. There is very little sparkle on the Less is More card as I used no Iridescent Ice embossing. I did add a little sparkle to the ice, star and sled runner with a Gelly Stardust pen. I avoided the second green layer for the frame, did not attach any brads and did not pop up the frame over the scene. I glued it directly on to the watercolor layer. I have to admit I love the sparkle of the original card but the second one is really cute as well. How can you go wrong with these cute penguins from My Favorite Things?
