Cuttlebug: The Negative
The Technique Lovers Challenge on SCS today was to create a colorful background with ink and a Cuttlebug Embossing. Click this link to find more information.
I took my embossing folder and brushed my Adirondack Willow pad across it to create the negative image. I placed my paper over the ink, rolled it through the Cuttlebug and got this darling embossed background. I stamped my little Rubbernecker Chick from the Babies Collection on scrap paper, painted and cut out. I stamped him again on my main image layer so I would have his little legs under the popped up version. I sponged Willow and Aqua on for the sky and ground, and added a few grass sprigs with Willow reinker and a blender pen. I sponged white paper with the Pink, Aqua, Yellow and Willow ink and then cut hand cut the basket, eggs and grass and assembled to hang over the little chick’s arm. I created the little scalloped folder border with scalloped scissors and scored to create the folder. I used a pink marker to create the little dots and created a little bow to finish off the embellishment. It was a fun little project.
Stamps: Rubbernecker Baby Collection
Paper: Spring Moss, White
Ink: Stazon, Adirondack Willow, Aqua, Lemonade, Pink
Accessories: Twill-Spring Moss, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Watercolor Brush, Sponge Daubers, Blender Pen, Scalloped Scissors, Mounting Tape
I’m sorry I have no picture for my project supplies tonight but I just got home too late.
