Distressed Daisies

I made this for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS today and for the Rubbernecker Blogger challenge, RB07 to use cream and brown.  Our featured artist is Michelle, aka Sf9erfan. I was inspired by a floral card that Michelle did and I jumped off into a totally different direction but kept the floral theme. I wanted to stamp my flower images over a layer of Distress Crackle Paint.  I ran my paper through my Cuttlebug with the Textile folder and then painted a light layer of Vintage Photo crackle paint over the embossing.  I created an Antique Linen crackle layer, dried and stamped my daisies from the KK Originals Flowers Collection on Rubbernecker Stamp Company with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I cut the flowers out and colored the flower centers and some leaves with a dark brown Copic marker.  I am almost in shock that I actually used my sewing Janome sewing machine on this card.  I mean…I only got it for Christmas 06 and this is my first time to thread and use it.  I ran seams along the grosgrain and around the main layer.  I added a little hardware and attached a piece of the grosgrain to it.  I heat the ribbon with my heat gun to age it a little. This is not my normal kind of card but I surely enjoyed stepping out of my scene box to make it.
