It’s the Blogger Challenge time again. Boy do the weeks go by fast. The challenge this week was to use light blue, dark blue and a neutral. I hope I don’t get in trouble with Jeanne, our challenge police person, as my two blue Copic markers were quite different in color but don’t really show that much contrast in my photo. I think she may let me slide. I chose to use this fun image from the KK Originals Ladies collection on Rubbernecker as well as a tiny daisy image from the Flowers collection. I just love that her hat is full of daisies and a tiny birdhouse as well. I was inspired to sketch out my own birdhouse around a few of the tiny daisies to match her hat. I stamped my images with Brilliance black and colored with Copic Markers. I cut out my sketched birdhouse and the girl to pop up over the scalloped and dotted swiss layers. I have really gone eyelet and dotted swiss crazy lately. They just seem to be perfect accompaniments to this fun girl image. I struggled to find a good matching ribbon as I am so anal about matching colors but didn’t find one that was perfect so I had to settle for this lighter blue polka dot grosgrain. I still really like this fun card with the girl, her hat and her birdhouses.
