Treasure Hunt Tuesday and Stacks of Ribbon

Don’t forget Treasure Hunt Tuesday.  Go to Rubbernecker Home Page for shopping, finding treasure and win a free stamp.  Broni and I are giving away blog candy so you need to leave a comment to qualify for the drawing. I would love to hear what your favorite KK Originals image or collection is. Shelly will have the first clue.

Stacks of Ribbon was the Technique Lovers challenge on SCS today. Boy did I stack up the layers of ribbon. There are three main layers of ribbon and two additional pieces layered over the seams.  First, I stamped my daisy images with Brilliance black twice. One for the main layer and one for cutting to pop up.  I colored with reinkers and a brush.  I sponged on green and mustard with a dauber and attached all the cut pieces for layering with glue dots.  I used a corner punch with the guide removed to create the scalloped black layer but it is almost all covered up.  I cut a scalloped layer for the main image with a Nestabilities die.  I used an Inkssential white pen and a Glaze black pen to create the faux stitching and dots.  I layered and layered ribbon and really like the effect.  I would normally never use this much ribbon but it was a fun challenge.
