The Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS today was to use inchies. I have played using the little one inch squares on projects before but not for quite a long time. This was a fun challenge for me. I started to do a scene and cut it up into squares but it didn’t appeal to me. I thought a full image with a few inchies as embellishments to the main image would be fun. I masked off the outer border of the main image so I could create a faux border around the scene. I did the same thing with my little inchie layers as well. I stamped the wheelbarrow and flowers and watercolored with reinkers. I masked the wheelbarrow and sponged on the grass area and filled in with my mini fern. I used a sponge dauber and cloud template to add the color for the sky. I had chosen my colors of artichoke, red, pumpkin, caramel and ballet blue off of the SU color wheel. I think the colors pop. My final touch was to add ribbon, pop up the watering can and fill in the flower center with black glaze and fill in the flowers with stardust sparkle.

LOVE YOUR CARD AND IT IS SO APROPOS!! I AM TYPING THIS NOTE LOOKING AT MY FINGERNAILS WHICH HAVE GONE BEYOND THE POINT THAT ANY LADY SHOULD LET HER HANDS REACH! SO NOW YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I AM TORN BETWEEN GARDENING AND STAMPING!
very pretty, love the masking you did, that really gives it a neat touch!
Really pretty card, as usual! Love the red white and blue… I haven’t done any inches yet, might have to give it a go.
