Soft Beach Scene

The Featured Stamper for today's challenge on SCS is Peanutbee aka Denise.  Here is a link to her wonderful gallery.  I copied and pasted a picture of Denise's darling card that inspired me below.

Seaside Girl by Peanutbee

I chose to use Rubbernecker Beach Party images to create my project.  I love the little umbrella and chair image and wanted to keep the same soft look and feel of Denise's scene.  I chose to work with River Rock and Bordering Blue ink.  I stamped the images, colored and cut them out.  I created a sandy beach with a dry brush in a stipple motion, masked off the water line, sponged it with the blue and then sponged in the sky with a lighter layer of the blue.  I attached the cut out images to the scene.  I used a seashell background image for the large base and embossed the long layer with a Cuttlebug folder.  I love this soft scene.  I have gotten stuck on beach cards recently.
