StampFest Orlando 2008 and On the Ranch

Hi Central Florida stampers!!!!! Are you going to come to the Orlando this coming weekend?  If you do, please stop by the Rubbernecker booth.  Jeanne S-Jeanne Streiff, BadSherry-Sherry Cheever, Waterchild-Broni Holcombe, CWilliams-Candy Williams and I will all be there.  I am really excited to be demonstrating "Kittie Cards" using my new stamp line Kittie Kits "Cause a Scene" released yesterday on Rubbernecker Stamps

SCS Thursday Ways to Use It Challenge -Use Birds

We are on vacation at Cape Hatteras, NC with my sisters and brother-out-laws and I am having lots of fun.  I'm enjoying the beach and am enjoying my little portable stamping spot that I set up as well. I love today's challenge as I have my brand new resized Henry and Henrietta, both Rubbernecker images in the newly released Kittie Kits accessory set - On the Ranch.  I hope a chicken and a rooster qualify as birds.

I stamped the rooster and chicken images, masked,  stamped the coop, masked and then stamped trees and fences from the new Kittie Kits Outdoor set around them.  I also stamped an additional rooster, chicken and coop to cut out and pop up on the scene for dimension. One of the hardest concepts for me when learning to mask was that I had to start off putting down the image I wanted to be in front and layer backwards.  I always seemed to want to do it in reverse and messed up plenty of good paper. I painted all the images with a watercolor brush and reinkers. I added grass, sprigs and leaves also from the Outdoor set. I wanted the grass to have brown dirt showing through to make it look more farmy and not perfect.  I distressed up the four sides of the card front and attached to guava and banana paper.  This was a fun project.  I love the chicken coop in this On the Ranch set as it is so perfectly rustic.

  5. Kittie congrats on your new line of stamps. I just checked them out and they are just great. I was just stamp shopping over the weekend for stamps to creat scenes and was a little dissapointed that there was not one set around. Today I see you have just what I was looking for. Just wish that you could buy this stuff at a store instead of online. I normally do not purchase online and I am hesitant to start. Maybe one day. But for now, I hope that you continue this line of stamps and come out with others. Again congrats on the new line.

  7. Kittie your new stamp sets are amazing. I have been a big admirer of your talent in making scenes and I can’t wait for your tutorials. That will better help me to understand your process. I’ve done the tree and it wasn’t bad but not nearly as beautiful as yours. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
