Our Rubbernecker gang had a great first day working the Stampfest. We had so much fun meeting so many of our friends and sharing hugs. Sherry, Jeanne, Broni, Pat (Mrs. Rubbernecker) and I demonstrated all day and were met with so much stamping interest and enthusiasm. What a kick. We go back for day two today and although my feet are tired I am really looking forward to it.
My husband came down to the show and took photos before it got too crowded. I wish he had gotten a picture of our whole gang but I think Sherry will have some of those to share. Candy (cwilliams) came down a little after the show opened and spent the day with us as well.
Needless to say, this was a thrilling day for me. I got to stand and demonstrate my new Kittie Kit “Cause a Scene” stamp sets. I was so excited I could hardly stand myself.
Jeanne, Broni and Sherry were laughing at me Friday night as I kept worrying about what I needed to take with me to “do my thing” at the show. “Do I need to take anything other than my brushes?” “Does Dave have scrap paper for me to put under my watercolor paper?” “Should I take my own acrylic blocks with me?” Finally, as I saw their eyes rolling to the back of their heads I decided I need to give it up and go to bed.
We all demo’d and tried to spell each other for little breaks but there were not many breaks to be had. Jeanne relieved me to go get a little lunch and when I came back Sherry handed off her “Distressed Tag Demo” to me. You gotta be kidding me!!! I had never used dabber acrylic paints directly to a stamp, spray mist, etc on a tag in my life. Sherry just laughed at me as she walked away leaving me with a table full of customers and told me she expected to see a tag when she got back.
Thank goodness Jeanne was standing right by me at the next table and gave me step by step instructions as she was having to keep her Kittie Card demo going. Jeanne ..Help me!!!
It was a thrill for me to see Dave’s Rubbernecker Booth, all the stamped images he has and all the product. His display is gorgeous and it was especially touching to me to see all of our design team cards displayed all around the upper booth. I feel so privileged and honored to work with such a wonderful company and design team.

It sounds like such a fun day — those lucky people who got to see you all in person and learn from you talented designers! Congrats on your new venture!!
All right, that does it. You guys definitely need to come out to Calif (somewhere close I can get to) because it’s no fair having to read about all the fun you’re having either. 🙂 Seriously, I’ve always loved the Rubbernecker booth at the stamp conventions I’ve gone to. It’s always been my first stop and given me the best ideas for using my stamps.

Kittie Kits = Kittie’s stuff.
Light bulb moment. The loose bulb needed to be screwed in.
You should be proud of the great stamp kits. I hope Rubberneck will sell them during the October Stamp Convention at the MN State Fair Grounds.
Personally, I think you should come to Nova Scotia!! ;?))I love scenery on cards and just mentioned to myself I want to get into doing that. That lighthouse by the sea card made with “your” new stamps would just be absolutely awesome, since I live on the Bay, water scene everywhere..lol..I am SOOOOO happy for you,I have admired your work for a longgggg time….It is incredible that you have your OWN stamp line, and more to come I am sure….WAY to GO GIRL!!!!AWESOME!!!I will be working on getting your stamps for sure!

OMG! I am so jealous! All those Rubber Necker stamps surrounding you. And new techniques? You’ll have to share the paint dabbers directly to a stamp one with the rest of us. Looks like you had a great time, tfs!
