Faux Dry Embossing With A Twist

I had so much trying out the faux dry embossing techniquefor Monday's Technique Lover's Challenge that I decided to try it again but added a little twist.  I know I am certainly not the first person do paint inside the faux embossed lines but I sure had fun trying it out and I really love the effect.

KC Daisies 4

I used the layout in this weeks sketch challenge for this project. I stamped the image on the green cardstock with white craft ink and heat dried. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig I restamped the image with Distress Peeled Paint.  It is much darker than the Kiwi paper that I used but I wanted to create good contrast between the white, green ink and the paper. I painted inside the flower petals with pure rose red reinker and a brush and heat dried. I then painted inside the leaves with Kiwi reinker. I finally painted the center of the flowers with white craft and embossed with white ep to make them pop. I used a fine brush and added little bits of white craft around the initial white image lines to make them more prominent.  I finished the card by applying stardust gel to the flowers and leaves.  It doesn't show well in the photo but it is so pretty in real life. This was a very fun and fast card.  It is a little out of normal card style but I had lots of fun.
