Weekend Stamping Fun

I have had lots of fun stamping and painting this weekend. Stamping is my way of relaxing and reducing stress after a long work week. The SCS Challenges always present something interesting that invites me to create.  That is a good thing for me.

Saturday’s Inspiration Challenge was fun as we were given an online site called Pylones to find something inspiring.  I loved the brightly colored mouse pad shown below.

I thought this sweet image from Stampavie by Rachelle Anne Miller was perfect to recreate an inspiration piece. I used the same colors  right down to the orange lady bug.

The Sunday Featured Stamper Challenge featured a good friend, Jojot (Joanne).  Her gallery is filled to the brim with wonderful creations.  I was inspired to case her Cardinal Snow project. I kept the Christmas theme and used my Crafty Secrets Sweet Kids Sleigh Ride image and went for a vintage feel.

I didn’t want to detract from the image itself by adding snow by painting on craft ink and embossing or by using Liquid Appliqué so I simply painted the images and then sponged over it with Distress Antique Linen ink to age.

I hope you have a good week.
