Bullwinkle, Bugs and Bucky

I always enjoy playing in the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.  This week Angella Crockett aka angelladcrockett was the inspiration artist and I had such a great time browsing through her gallery.  I was inspired by a lake and tree scene in Angella’s Crackle Icy Pond.  I decided I would use the same layout and water and tree theme but make it a summer scene with the addition of a few animals.

KC Moose 3

I used Nestabilities to create the main layers and a mask just one size down so I could have a clean white edge around the scene.  I sponged in the blue water across the lower half of the circle and the green land line across the middle.  I stamped in several trees from  Kittie Kits and then used the mini fern stamp to fill in texture. I heat dried the ink and then sponged in the sky area using a cloud template. I stamped all three animals on watercolor paper, painted and cut out to pop up in front of the scene. I thought a multi loop bow would be the perfect finishing touch.  The moose and rabbit have the funniest expressions on their faces.  This moose reminds me of Bullwinkle. Is anyone old enough to remember Rocky and Bullwinkle??

I hope you all have a great week.  My work weeks have been extra busy but I am in hopes that I may get to do some challenges this week.  That is really the best form of stress relief there is for me.

Great card – love your water colour work as always :o)
OH the Rocky and Bulwinkle Cartoon was a show I just hated when I was little but my brother loved it, so it was watched by us both. I still don’t like it LOL LOL

  2. What a great little scene. I find the expressions on the moose and rabbit’s face very amusing. And, yes, I remember Rocky and Bullwinkle!
