It’s my turn again to post on the Stampavie Design Team blog. Time sure flies by quickly and it will be Christmas before we know it. I am having lots of fun getting a head start on my Christmas cards with the new 2010 Christmas release. I love all of the new images. I am happy to share my project made with Penny Johnson’s Shhh…
The image was stamped two times on watercolor paper. Once for the main layer and once again on scrap paper to be cut out for paper piecing. It is very hard to see in the picture but the the fur on the sleeves and hat, the dog and the bag of toys are all popped up for added dimension. All the images were colored with a brush and reinker mixed with water. The fur and beard was painted with Chinese watercolor paint straight with no water. I added a little taffeta ribbon to the bag for a simple embellishment.
I hope you are having a great week.

I have to say, I so admire those who make each and every Christmas card different (and do it before Dec. 23!!). I have WAAAAAY too many cards to even think of doing individual ones!! Mass production for me!
