Good Monday morning to you. Today is my first day back to work after being off several days for the holiday. I am so spoiled being home so many days in a row. I don’t get to take part in all the daily Splitcoaststampers challenges during the work week so I had lots of fun playing while I was off. My project today is using Rubbernecker’s Garden Gate.
I stamped the garden gate and watercolored using a watercolor brush, water and reinker. I stamped a few mini fern images around the ground area to add a little texture. I used a Cuttlebug folder to create the top embossed main layer and then l layered the image over a scalloped border layer and then over the double ribbon. I punched several evergreen sprigs (these sprigs are not just for Christmas) and attached around the bottom of the gate image with Glossy Accents as well as under the main layer on the scalloped side. I added a few tiny popped up punched flowers with Glossy Accents to the sprigs of foliage and used yellow liquid pearls in the centers. I love the garden effect the flowers and greenery added to this sweet gate image.
I hope you have a wonderful first week in 2011.
