Good morning. I have a quick post this morning. The retired Stampin’ Up! set Long-Time Friend has been one of my all time favorite sets and I was happy to use it in the SCS Sketch Challenge on Wednesday.
I cut the main image layer using watercolor paper and a Nestabilities Oval Deckle die. I stamped the image and then placed the paper back in the die to use as a mask to create a white border frame around the image. I colored the image using a brush and reinkers mixed with water and them sponged the green and blue sky areas. I thought the lattice border was a great addition to the card as well as the little foliage sprigs and flowers.
I hope your first week of 2011 is going great.
