Let It Snow

The Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple challenge today was to use snow on our project.  I love this little girl image falling down on her skates from Rubbernecker called When at First You Don’t Succeed.  I thought she would look great colored in bright colors and layered on pure white background with just a hint of color in the trees and sentiment. To me the polka dot embossing looks like falling snow. I love the aqua and light green colors together and think they are a perfect match for a fun snowy card. This is about as clean and simple as I can get but I love the finished card.

I stamped the little girl twice on watercolor paper, colored with a brush and reinkers mixed with water and cut out. I painted the hat and knee/leg section of the second image, cut out and popped up over the main image layer. I fluffed up the pompom on the hat by adding Glossy Accents and Polar White Flower Soft. The tree layer was created with an EK Success tree border punch and the trees were colored using a small dauber sponge.

Have a great week.
