Hearts and Flowers

Good Saturday morning.  It’s a beautiful morning following terrible rain storms in our area last night.  I was happy to see the sunshine and hear the birds sing this morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. and our inspiration site was Linda Billet, an amazing glass artist.  I was inspired by her gorgeous colors and florals. I created a heart theme card with several layers of punched and die cut hearts.  I created a floral spray with light green punched foliage and tiny hearts from the same dies and punches used to make the cream layers.

I attached the cream heart punched border layer to the card base.  I applied small pieces of masking tape around the base of the largest heart circle and attached it the card base.  I put the smallest heart circle inside the heart frame but attached it flat to the base of the card.  I applied Glossy Accents to the punched foliage and created the base of the floral spray. I added dots of Glossy Accents to the foliage and arranged the tiny hearts to complete the colorful bouquet.  The tiny pink multi loop bow was the perfect finishing touch for this project.  I got tempted to add sparkle to the hearts with Stickles but refrained since this was more of a Victorian project.  Here’s a couple other views.

  1. So pretty!!! You just reminded me that I forgot about that Spellbinder heart circle die… . I meant to include that one in the order that I have coming… can’t believe I forgot about it and will now have to wait a long time until I order again! LOL!!

  3. Kittie, Joann’s has the pine branch punch that you use back on their site, labeled “NEW.” I guess Martha brought it back by popular demand from YOUR FANS!
This is another lovely card. Now I have to go get the circle heart dies… there goes my paycheck again!
    Thanks,
    Corky
