Winter Christmas Cabin

Good Sunday morning! My project today was made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The featured artist today is Linda aka Morningsun47 and here is a link to her card that inspired me.  I love Linda’s snowy cabin and paper pieced trees. Here is what I came up with.

I stamped the cabin from the Kittie Kits The Moose is Loose set on watercolor paper and painted with reinkers.  I painted white craft ink on the roof and ground area, embossed with white embossing powder and cut out to pop up on the fun designer paper background. I used a Sizzix Christmas tree die to cut out several trees and out of coordinating designer paper and crimped them to add texture.  I attached them in behind and in front of the cabin for added dimension.  The Cottage Christmas paper by Imaginisce  was a perfect match to Wild Wasabi cardstock and grosgrain.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the retired Stampin’ Up! set Festive Favorites. This was a fun project adding a stamped and colored image with the cartoon like Christmas trees.  Here is a couple other views.
