Color Throwdown 191

This is my second week as guest designer for the Color Throwdown and the challenge involves lots of fun colors.  For some reason when I saw the combination I thought beach colors so I pulled out my Kittie Kits and created a fun beach scene.

I had lots of fun coloring out cutting out all the fun elements to create this scene.  I started by sponging in the beach, ocean and sky and then I stamped the fences and sea oats. If you haven’t used the Ranger Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool then you need to.  They are wonderful blending sponges and I have several that I keep with all the main colors that I use regularly.

I added touches of sea foam on the water and washing up on the shore with lightly patted touches of Liquid Applique. I just touched a few light dots of applique and patted it with the tip of my finger to spread it around and smooth it and then heated it. I lightly spread a little Glossy Accents over the water area and lightly sprinkled diamond dust glitter. It is hard to see all the sparkling water in the photo. You click on the photos to see a closer view. I watercolored all the images using Distress Reinkers and cut out.  I die cut the frame, applied mounting tape and mounted over the scene.

I attached the images in the scene using glue dots and my ATG adhesive.  Every time I use this bathing beauty image I ask myself the same question.  “What in the world was that woman thinking by putting those hips into a striped bathing suit"?” LOL!
