Golden Bird Cage and Branches

Good Friday morning!  I have a gold embossed project to share with you today.The Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It Challenge this week was to make a project using a bird.  I thought instantly of the Poppy Stamps Nestled Bird and Vintage Bird Cage.  I paired it with the Memory Box Leafy Branch and tiny flowers from the Flower Mound Die and created the frame using Rubbernecker’s Hawaiian Vine Frame.

I stamped the frame image on pink cardstock with VersaMark and embossed with gold embossing powder. I die cut the oval frame opening and double mat using Spellbinders Classic Large and Small  Oval Dies.  I applied versa directly to the smaller oval frame opening, the cage and the branches and heat embossed with gold embossing powder to bring more elements of gold to the project. I attached the frame  to the card base with mounting tape. I attached the bird to the base using rolled up glue dots and used Glossy Accents to attach the branch to the frame, and mounting tape to attach the cage over the bird. I die cut pink flowers using the Flower Mound die and formed them using a a stylus and mat. I  attached the tiny flowers to the branches with dots of Glossy Accents.  I added a tiny gold cord and bow to make the cage appear to be hanging from the branch but it doesn’t show well in the photo.  The pink bird is hard to see as well.  Click on the photo if you would like a close view.
