Tall Birch

Good Tuesday morning.  I ordered the Memory Box  Tall Birch tree because I think they are such beautiful trees.  I pulled up a Google search on birch trees photos for inspiration and found this wonderful picture with all the trees and lovely foliage.

Here is what I was inspired to do.

I created the sky on the white card base using my handmade cloud template, Tumbled Glass and ink blending tool.  I cut several birch trees out of watercolor paper and painted with Pumice Stone distress ink and concentrated on adding darkness to the notches in the tree lines. I attached the trees to the card base using mounting tape.

I cut several different pieces of the foliage, distressed them with the stylus to make them look more natural and arranged them to be behind the deer.  I cut deer out of kraft paper, sponged lightly with brown ink and placed them in the scene.  I arranged a few more pieces of foliage in front of them.  I showed this to my husband thinking he would really like it.  Ugh!  He said it was too busy.  He is probably right but I sure had fun making it.

My go to technique is embossing folders. They’re quick & easy & with a dab of ink, a few embellishments you have a nice card. Thanks for a chance to win. Good luck everyone.
