In The Woods

Good Sunday morning.  I made my project today for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge.  Leif was our inspiration site and I was inspired by the Terracotta & Bark Jar pictured below.

Terracotta & Bark Jar

When I saw the bark and mossy green it made me think of a outdoors cabin kind of project.  I turned to my Rubbernecker Kittie Kits Moose Set and the 3 Pine Tree Set. The trees in both of these sets match perfectly with the Cottage Cutz Rustic Sign and Tree die set.

I stamped the cabin on watercolor paper twice, painted both and then cut them out.  I paper pieced the front portion of the cabin to add a little dimension.  I stamped the trees in the background on a piece of cream cardstock.  I inked up the stamp and misted lightly with water so the trees would stamp nicely.  I created a sky using a hand cut cloud template and an Inkssentials Ink Blending tool.

I painted the deer with vintage photo ink and white watercolor paint to add interest and definition.I die cut the trees and stamped over them with the tree stamp to add texture.  I attached the cabin and crimped ground area over the tree scene  then attached the frame using mounting tape.   I attached  the crimped grasses and die cut trees and finished by adding the sweet deer. I love this nature scene.  I wish I was there.
