Monochromatic Flower, Foliage and Birds

Good Saturday morning.  I have a monochromatic project to share with you today.  The background paper pre embossed and is made my Core Color.  I lightly sanded the raised embossing to allow some of the inner color show through and to show the embossed design.

I die cut the oval dainty doily and then die cut the center out to create a frame.  I mounted the frame with mounting tape and attached to the card base.  I created the large flower using the layered rose die and formed it with my mat and stylus. I cut the lorelai leaf, distressed the back with the stylus. I attached the foliage and flower inside the framed area with glossy accents .

I die cut the birds, lightly sponged them with baja breeze ink, added  eyes with a black marker and attached to the arrangement with mounting tape. I finished the flower by adding a pearl in the center but it is a little hard to see in the photo.  I love this color of blue.  It makes me happy to play with it.
