Wishing for Spring Flowers

Good Sunday morning.  Before I start my post I wanted to tell you about the fantastic Warehouse and Overstock sales going on over at Ellen Hutson. If you have lots of the dies I have used over the last few months on your wish list then you will definitely want to check out the deep discounts in the both sales.

My project today was made using the new Memory Box Fabulous Phlox die set.  I love the shape of this flower as well as the delicate foliage in the set.

I paired the flowers with the Lorelai Leaf, Flower Mound and Martha Stewart Garden Trellis punch to create a spring scene.

I punched the trellis border on both sides of my card base and mounted with mounting tape. I cut the flowers and foliage, formed them with my stylus and mat and attached all the sections together with glossy accents.

I attached the foliage and flowers to the trellis layer with glossy accents. I finished by adding the delicate foliage pieces tiny flowers to soften.  I hope my project today reminds you of the spring to come.

You can check out my paper flowers tutorial if you would like to see some step by step photos of how I form my flowers. There are lots of flower tutorials on the right side of my home pate.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

  1. Your card is stunning. Love everything about it. Using the punch along the side really makes it look like a trellis. You are soooooo clever and creative. Still think you should write a book with all your fantastic creations. Got lots of inspiration from this card.

  2. Such a fresh and appealing card. It’s amazing how many of the same punches and/or dies I have that you have…I love that since it makes it easier for me to make something similar. Your designs are wonderful. I agree with the commenter who said you should put all your creativity in a book. I, too, will take a look at the sale items.

  3. This card is so beautiful to look at especially when it is just dull, gray and damp over here in Oregon! I have the Martha Stewart punch and this is giving me loads of inspiration for my moms Mothers Day card! (thinking well in advance here! ) Thank you Kittie for yet another stunning creation!
