Good Friday morning. My project today was made for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It Challenge to use gingham. I love gingham and this gave me the perfect opportunity to pull out my Gingham Cover a Card background stamp.
I stamped the gingham pattern for my my frame base using pink ink and my mega mount. I created a double matted frame using classic oval dies and mounted the frame the frame on the card base with mounting tape.
I cut the flowers from the leftover pink gingham oval cut out to create gingham posies to match the frame. Who wouldn’t want to grow gingham posies. LOL!
I formed both the flowers and stems with my stylus and mat, arranged them in the oval opening and attached with glossy accents. I created white pearl centers by using my new Viva Ice White Pearl Pen. It is the first time I used it and I really love how it will allow you to create any size pearl you need for your project. Here’s a closer view.
I added a small multi loop bow made from pink gingham ribbon for the perfect finishing touch. I like this card because it is soft, sweet and fairly simple. It’s perfect for almost any occasion and didn’t take very long to make.
I love using my mega mount for my large background stamps and I wanted to draw your attention to the new mini mount.
This is a 4 x 5 slightly curved acrylic block with a handle that works great for your larger unmounted rubber and clear stamps.
If you are enjoying a day off work today like me I hope you have a wonderful three day weekend. I hope you have a blessed Easter.
