Pink Polka Dot Bunnies

Good Thursday morning.  I usually try not to use the same images or dies two days in a row but I just couldn’t help myself today.  I am having so much fun playing with the Impression Obsession Bunny Set and making Easter/Spring cards that I just had to make another. Really……have you ever seen bunny dies any cuter than these???This was made for this week’s  Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch for the challenge.

Sketch

Here’s what I came up with.

I cut and attached the cross sections to the card base with mounting tape. I attached the oval to the the base with another layer of mounting tape. I love creating dimension.

I cut two partial ovals in green with an oval die to fit and create the grass layers. I cut them across the top with deckle scissors and attached grass border sections to the back.  I attached these to the oval frame with mounting tape and created another element of dimension so the bunnies would be on three different layers.  Did that make sense?

I tucked the bunnies into the grass and attached with glue dots and mounting tape.  I created tiny flowers from 1/8” circles formed with my tiny tipped stylus, punched foliage and attached to the neck of each bunny. I cut a section of leafy branch 2, cut them apart, attached tiny flowers,  tucked in behind the bunnies and attached with glossy accents. Here’s a closer view.

I thought pink butterflies would be the perfect finishing touch.  I love how this turned out.  I also love that the bunnies look like they are nestled in an egg shaped grassy scene.

I am so happy you stopped by and I hope you have a great day.  Today is my last day of work this week and I will be off for a three day holiday weekend. Whee!

  1. Kittie, this is one of my favorites. There’s just something about pink, white and polkadots. I think this is my favorite Easter card ever. As always I learn something from you. Great idea to cut an oval and use for a cracked egg. If I could, I would buy every die to match yours. (I really wish these dies were available in Michael’s or JoAnn’s.
