Belleek Inspired Ornate Floral Frame and Blog Candy

Good Sunday morning.  Before I start my post today I want to offer you an opportunity to win my blog candy gift of the Memory Box Flowering Vine Border die.

All you need to do to qualify is leave me a comment on this post , The deadline will be Wednesday, May 5th at 5:00 pm.

My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Queen for the Day challenge.  Peggy aka jasonw1 was our queen this week and I was inspired by her gallery filled with beautiful creations.  I finally settled on Peggy’s Framed Whimsical Flower because I loved the soft feminine design and elegance.

I love making the Belleek Inspired background using cream cardstock and adding just a touch of soft color. I thought it would be so lovely paired with the Sizzix Ornate Oval Frame and Memory Box Honeyblossom Sprig and Fancy Blossoms

Here’s what Peggy’s card inspired me to make.

KC Sizzix Ornate Oval Frame 2 right

I started by applying ink on the top side of the embossing folder with my brayer, inserted the cardstock and ran through my big shot  with the top face down. Check out this link on Splitcoaststampers for the full Belleek Inspired instructions.

KC Sizzix Ornate Oval Frame 2 center

I cut the frame and mounted it on the card base with mounting tape.  I cut the sprig and attached it to the frame opening with tiny pieces of mounting tape.  I cut out flower pieces for three flowers, sponged on shell pink ink, formed the flowers with tools and mat from the accessory tool kit.  I assembled the flowers and attached them over the sprig flowers using glossy accents .  Adding champagne pearls to the flower centers and frame.was the perfect finishing touch.

Have a wonderful Sunday.  Thank you for stopping by and for all of your supportive and lovely compliments to my posts.  I really appreciate it.
