My project is today was made for Lydia’s DTGD13UnderstandBlue challenge with Impression Obsession Fir Tree and Small Fir Tree paired with the new Memory Box Frostyville Frame and Debutante Frame

I cut the base of the scene out of watercolor paper using the Debutante Frame. I brushed it with water to prepare it for applying the blue sky ink.  I brushed on a fairly strong mix if blue reinker and spread the color until I was happy with it for my night sky color.  I heat dried the paper with my gun because I am never patient enough to wait.  LOL!

I stamped the trees with black versafine and heat dried to set,  Before painting my trees with green I brushed on the moon with full strength wild honey reinker.  I wanted the top of the tallest tree to be highlighted with the moon.  I heat set the moon and then painted the trees.  I heat set the trees and then lightly sponged scattered straw ink around them  to show a little moonlight reflection.

I cut a small piece of plain white cardstock, crimped it with my wave crimper and attached it to the back of the frame. This was to cover the bottom of the tree area and represent the snowy ground. I attached small pieces of mounting tape all around the back of the Frostyville Frame, attached it to the scene frame and then attached to the card base. I love playing with the different decorative frames that layer so perfectly over the Debutante Frame. This new Frostyville Frame is really beautiful and I can see several more holiday projects using it in my future.
