Good Tuesday morning. I have a fun and whimsical Christmas project to share with you today using the Impression Obsession Christmas Lights, Pine Sprig Cluster and Christmas Cheer. I knew how I wanted to use the light set the minute I saw it. It reminds me of the lights with the large bulbs from when I was a kid with the four basic colors of red, green, blue and yellow. I’m sure you know what I am referring to if you are over fifty. LOL! I only used the largest bulbs in the set on this project but I’m sure I will use the smaller bulbs on a project in the future.
I started by cutting out the die out in olive, red, blue and yellow. I attached the bulbs to the wire section with glossy accents, spacing them evenly and rotating colors. I applied stickles to each of the bulbs and set it aside to dry.
I attached the bulbs and wire to the card base using glossy accents on four key places to secure. I wanted most of the bulbs to be free and to appear like they had been laid in the pine. I cut several sets of pine sprigs and attached them all around the lights to create garland. I thought the long single line sentiment was perfect to pair with the garland of lights. I really love how the bright sparkly lights and pine pop against the all white background.

I am over 50, so I definitely remember the bigger lights! I love this card and just how bright and cheery it is…it makes me smile! :0) Lovely, lovely!
Kittie –
This is so sweet and very festive. Yet, still clean and simple. I love it!

Beautiful card Kittie!
Good afternoon, Kittie, Yes, I am afraid I do remember the lights in the fifty’s they were big a bright. then the bubble lights came in. think I prefer the mini lights we have now days. I do love your card. It is very well organized and the sparkles on the lights and long sentiment words are perfect. A beautiful card….have a good day.
Great CAS card. Yes, I remember those lights well – they bring back lots of good memories.
Your cards are all “works of art!” In coloring, did you color in the shadows? Or are the shadows natural from your photography? Amazing
The shadows are natural from the lighting on my card.
