Elegant Clean and Simple Poinsettias

Good Monday morning.  I hope you had a restful weekend. They sure go by fast.  Back to work we go.  My project today was made with the new Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettia paired with Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Impression Obsession Pine Sprig Cluster.  I love how elegant this card looks and yet it was so fast and easy to put together.

I cut the decorative layer and popped it up on the card base with mounting tape.  I cut the three decorative rectangles and popped them up on mounting tape to make them stand out just a little for dimension.

I cut the flowers and pine, formed the flowers with my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the decorative rectangles.  I added leaf green flower soft to each flower to create a natural center and added the tiny pine sprigs to soften each flower.

Here’s a closer view.

I love how the red and green pop off the white and how the decorative edges on the layers add a touch of interest while maintaining the all white background.

  1. Your poinsettias are so sweet and elegant! I love the small little blossoms in a row on the white. You always shape your flowers and blossoms so nicely. So much nicer than just seeing them cut and layered.
Thank you for the lovely inspiration!
