Good Sunday morning. I have a clean and simple Christmas project to share with you today using my new Impression Obsession Merry Tree and Holly Leaf Cluster. It doesn’t get much faster than this if you are one to mass produce the same project for your holiday cards.
I attached the frame to the card base with mounting tape and attached the Merry Tree with glossy accents. I cut the Holly Leaf Cluster out of olive cardstock and again out of the red glimmer paper to get the holly berries. I formed the holly leaves using my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the top and bottom of the tree with glossy accents. I formed the berries and attached to the leaves with mini rolled glue dots.
Here’s a closer view.
I love how sparkly yet clean and simple this project is. The die cuts in three separate pieces- the tree top, Merry and Christmas with flourish. The Merry and Christmas could easily be used alone for your sentiment without the tree top. I love the font.
PS….I asked Mitra Friant, the owner of Impression Obsession if she would consider creating foliage clusters to make it easy to cut several pieces at a time. She sure came through in spades. It goes to show….it never hurts to ask. Fir Sprig Set, Pine Sprig Cluster and Holly Leaf Cluster. You will be seeing these on lots of my future projects.
Mitra also created a mini version of the Leaves set for us – Small Leaf Set. The leaves are approximately half the size and so perfect for our fall card projects. I can’t wait to get out my Pan Pastel to create gorgeous fall leaves.
Approximate die sizes: ½ x 1¼ to 2¼ x 2½
Approximate die sizes: 1/4 x 3/4 to 1-1/8 x 1-1/8.
Thanks for coming by and for letting me gush over some of my favorite new Impression Obsession dies.
