Forest Deer and Trees Snow Globe

Good Tuesday morning.  I have a fun snow globe scene project to share with you today made using the Impression Obsession Snow Globe set, Small Deer set and the Fir Trees set. I think this is such a great masculine winter or holiday card.

I started by cutting out the snow globe sections, The globe was cut in white, the base in kraft and the tag in gold. I sponged in tiny tree tops on the globe portion using the negative of the smallest tree die to create a forest background.  I sponged brown ink on the base and stamped the sentiment on the tag and embossed with black embossing powder.

I cut several fir trees and the deer and cut a second section of snow globe to create the snowy bottom section.  I sponged the deer with brown ink. I attached the snowy ground piece to the bottom of the globe and attached the trees and deer with mounting tape. I finished by adding a few dots of falling snow on the scene using white watercolor paint and a small tipped brush.

Here’s a side view to show the dimension.  I love how this turned out.  Of course….I love making these snowy nature scenes.  The miniature scene is perfect for the snow globe.  I can’t wait to try using other images.

  4. Kitty, yes I am still stalking you, just haven’t been in touch in a while. I have a question about Forest Deer and Trees Snow Globe, which I am going to scrap lift for my Christmas cards this year. The extra globe you cut do you half it to look like snow, do you put anything on it for a snowy look, the picture doesn’t show very well.
TFS, and I appreciate your beautiful work.
