Poinsettia Christmas Window

Good Wednesday morning.  I have another window scene to share with you today made using the Poppystamps Grand Gothic Window and Grand Gothic Iron Work paired with the Small Blooming Poinsettia, Memory Box Holly Vine and Martha Stewart Branch Punch.

I started by cutting two of the window frames and one iron work piece.  I used a window frame as a template to draw lines to mark where I wanted the cut out window to be and cut it with my craft knife. I attached the iron work to the back side of one of the frames, attached mounting tape to the back of the frame and mounted it over the window. I hand cut a piece of vellum and attached to the opening on the inside and  applied ATG adhesive to the second frame and attached it over the vellum to finish the of the of the card. I like adding vellum to the opening so you can’t really see through and gives that church window feel. You can see step by step pictures of how I create my open windows in my see thru window tutorial.

I cut my small poinsettias, formed them my stylus and molding pad and assembled them with glossy accents.  I cut several pieces of the holly vine and lightly formed them with the stylus and molding pad. I attached the vines and poinsettias to the window with glossy accents and finished by adding several pieces of the branch punch.  I added the tiny pearls to the flower centers for the final finishing touch.

I browsed through my Window Card category on my blog last night and was shocked to see that I have over thirty window projects  listed.  I guess it shows how much I love window cards.  LOL!

Thanks for looking in today.  I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

  6. I think I’ll start a new board on Pinterest called Kitty Cards! Love this design and always pin your cards and follow your blog. I think you should quit your day job and travel around teaching Kitty’s methods! You’re such a nice person too.
