Christmas Door and a Christmas Stamp Sale

Check out my Stampin' Up! Christmas Stamp Sale

Good Saturday morning.  I have a Christmas door project to share with you today made using Susan Tierney Cockburn’s Door and Wreath set and and the tiny flowers from her new Yarrow set, Sizzix Bricked and Wooden set and the Impression Obsession Pine Sprig Cluster.   I made a spring version of this card back in May with a mini wreath made with a Mini Petals set and thought it would be a perfect backdrop for a Christmas door scene.

I started by apply ink to the top inside of the embossing folder with my brayer and placed it top side down when  I ran it through the Big Shot. I embossed the door and cut it out and popped it up on the card base with mounting tape.

I cut several sections of the pine sprigs, cut off the largest branches to reduce the size enough to create a small wreath.  I cut a wreath ring using with my classic circles and layered the pine and attaching with glossy accents. Below is a picture from my mini wreath tutorial showing a few sprigs and how I attached to wreath base.

I die cut one section of the tiny flowers, formed using my stylus and molding pad and attached to the wreath glossy accents. I attached a tiny multi loop bow and applied a light layer of glossy accents around on the pine and flowers and sprinkled with glitter for a little Christmas sparkle. I attached the wreath to the door with glossy accents.  I applied glossy accents to the ground layer and top of the door and applied Polar White flower soft to create a snowy effect.

Here’s a little closer view of the wreath.  I always have problems getting the sparkle to show well in my photos.

  3. I absolutely love this card! I can’t take my eyes off it! It just speaks to me. Sounds corny, but it’s the truth! The brick, the snow, all of it. TFS
