Good Saturday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All to create a project with a Polaroid type frame. I couldn’t resist one more woodsy snowy deer scene. I love the Impression Obsession Small Deer set and Fir Tree Border and they are both small enough to work in a small frame. Here’s what I came up with.
I created my double matted frame frame using two Spellbinders Classic Squares.
I cut the tree border and then used the negative to sponge in some trees in the background to create depth. I sponged the tree border with green ink to make them match perfectly to the background trees. I layered the trees in front of the sponged trees, attached to the base and covered with a white snow layer.
This photo shows a closer view of the layered and sponged trees.
I attached the frame over the scene and attached the deer in place in place with mounting tape. I added the gingham multi loop bow to add one more country Christmas touch.
I’ve made so many deer projects this holiday season but I enjoy them so much. Snowy nature scenes make me happy and gives me wonderful memories of growing up in the country.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great weekend.
