Spring Fence and Flowers

Good Sunday morning.  I have a sweet clean and simple scene to share with you today using my favorite spring colors. I love making  projects with a fence and flowers. They work perfectly with window and house cards but  today I wanted the fence and flowers to be the main focal point with a crisp white background that would let the colors shine. I used the Impression Obsession Arched Fence, Tall Grass, Small Grass Border, Memory Box Flower Mound, Puffy Clouds, Mini Clouds and Flying Birds to create the scene and made the frame using Spellbinders Matting Basics A

I cut two sections of tall grass to use as the flower stems.  I had already had all three colors of the flowers cut and just had to form them with my stylus and molding pad and attach them to the stems with glossy accents.  I cut two small grass borders, one for in front of the fence and once behind it.

I cut the frame and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. I attached the grass inside the frame and then attached the fence directly to the frame with ATG adhesive.  I tucked the flower stems in behind the fence and attached just at the base of the stems so the flowers could be free and natural looking.

I attached the clouds in the sky background and added one flying bird for the finishing touch.  I think this would be a perfect card to cheer someone up.  I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

  3. What a fresh breath of spring air this card brings … much needed with all of this frigid weather we are having. I love all of the soft colors and those flowers bring to mind all of the tulip bulbs I planted last fall … can’t wait to see them appear. Thanks for sharing and have a great new year. (I hope your roast turned out)

  8. Thank you Kittie for sharing this beautiful spring card. This is just the beauty I needed to see today. The weekend before Christmas we had freezing rain and power outages, and days of freezing cold, then warmer temps and melting, now freezing cold again. This card has brightened my spirits and given me the hope of spring and flowers again. I love the colours and the fence, I will be treating myself to the fence die soon. Thank you for sharing the gift of spring through this beautiful card and the great tutorial. Thank you also for the reminder I need the Memory Box flower mound die, so many possibilities with that one. Have a Happy and Healthy and Blessed and Creative New Year!
