Good Monday morning. Do you keep single flowers, pieces or parts that you have leftover from a project and toss it in a storage bin thinking “I’ll use that on something someday”? My project today is made with several single leftover flowers that I have had for a while and thought they would be pretty created into a mix floral bouquet. There is no rhyme or reason to the color combination but that is one of the things I like best about it.
Have you seen the new line of Creative Expressions dies over at Ellen Hutson? I saw them for the first time last week and couldn’t resist ordering a couple of them. I used the Hollywood die set from the California Collection to frame my bouquet. I thought the informal flower grouping would be pretty paired with the delicate decorative layer.
I cut the decorative layer and layered it over the base frame layer with mounting tape. I attached both layers to the card base with mounting tape for one additional element of dimension and interest.
I attached the five larger flowers to the base with glossy accents. I lightly formed the foliage with my molding pad and stylus and tucked the pieces in around the flowers attaching with glossy accents. I finished by attaching the three smallest rolled roses in with the foliage.
Here’s a closer view. Don’t they look like they were just picked out of the garden.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Kittie that is absolutely gorgeous. Wow, out of your leftovers. I dont like
to throw away leftover bits but they sure can create a pile if not used soon. I actually have various empty pill bottles filled with little bits LOL but they arent all gorgeous flowers like yours.
What a GREAT idea and a really WONDERFUL card, Kittie!!
Lovely all the different colors!
Thank you soooo much for the inspiration.
I have a box full of flowers that I made just because I wanted to make flowers.
Now I know, what I’m gonna do 🙂
Thanks and a hug from Eva.

Outstanding work! I LOVE the combination of the bouquet and the colors. The lily is amazing with the dots and all of the flowers are exceptionally detailed. I am crazy in LOVE with the California Collection background. TFS.
Hello from Typepad!
Beautiful card Kittie! I too save my bits and especially flowers. The background is perfect for the beautiful bouquet. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, creatively inspiring card. Also for the reminder to use my leftovers and make them into something beautiful and then give it away to someone. I could make bunches of cards from leftovers and have cards ready when I needed them.
