Good Saturday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and our inspiration site was The Perfect Palette. I was inspired by a beautiful pale pink vase of flowers found here.
I love making Belleek Inspired projects and I thought it was perfect to use with my soft pink and cream. I used my new Elizabeth Craft Designs Damask embossing folder and paired it with Bunch of Flowers 1, Marianne Design Oval Frame, Poppystamps Leafy Sprig and Memory Box Butterfly Delights.
I applied pink ink with my brayer on the inside of my embossing folder and embossed on vanilla cardstock. I attached the embossed layer to the card base and then attached the oval frame with mounting tape.
I lightly applied pink ink to the flowers with a mini applicator being careful to allow some of the cream to remain showing. I wanted the flowers to remain as pale pink as the background. Allowing the cream to show kept them very soft looking and delicate. I attached them to the frame and then tucked the foliage pieces in around them. I lightly brayered pink ink to a piece of scrap vanilla cardstock cut the butterflies and I attached them to the foliage and frame. I finished by attaching tiny pearls to the center of the flowers and butterflies.
Here’s a closer view of the floral arrangement.
I have made several versions of this soft pink and cream card over time but I never really tire of the combination. It is so soft, feminine and elegant.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
