My project today was made using the new Weathered Wood and Pumpkin Pair. I paired them with the Large Fence, Tall Grass, Small Leaf Set, Grass Border and Small Grass Border.

imagePumpkin Pair

I started by stamping the wood image on brown cardstock with versa and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Pouf!  Instant vintage age wood.  I wanted the fence be tall enough to pair with the pumpkins. I cut two fence sections, cut the top pickets off of one and attached to the second section to create a tall fence.  I added a board section across the center of the fence to cover where two fences were joined.  I added a second board across the top to match the center board.

I stamped the pumpkins twice in brown pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I painted them using reinkers and a waterbrush and cut them out to pop up in front of the fence. I cut a third pumpkin to create a more interesting arrangement.  I cut the small leaves and painted them with reinkers.

I attached the fence to the card base with mounting tape and attached the tall grass sections to the fence with glossy accents. I attached the pumpkins in place with mounting tape.  I attached the grass borders together with ATG adhesive and then to the base with mounting tape.  I wanted the leaves to look they were just falling off the tree and floating to the ground.  I attached them with glossy accents.

  8. Your work never disappoints me and I use it often for inspiration. I can see that these stamps need to go on my ‘must get’ list right away! And to see the pumpkins stamped in brown ink with clear embossing powder is so much nicer than it would have been in black.
