Good Saturday afternoon. I mentioned in my post a couple of weeks ago that I was going to be teaching a class for Impression Obsession at the Collins Group Fall Show. I wanted to take a minute to say how much fun I had with the class and meeting and talking with so many craft store owners. They were such a wonderful group. I want to tell all of you out there that have a local craft store in your area how lucky you are to be able to go in to the store and pick out products to purchase. We used to have a couple of stores near where I live but they have closed and the closest one to where I live now is about 50 miles. I wanted to say thank you to all who took my class and for giving me such a warm welcome.
I’ve been unable to post for a few days and am glad to get back to it. I have a fun fall project to share with you today made using the newly released Tree Frame, Bushel of Apples and Oak Leaves and Rake. The frame was made using the Lifestyle Nesting Card Templates. I love this tree frame and just can’t seem to help myself from making projects. I have been working on another one this morning and have made the tree an apple tree. It will be coming this week.
This is an exact replica of the project I did for my step by step tutorial in the CLASSroom this past week with the exception of being done full color. I thought you would like seeing the projects side by side.
You can click on the pictures to see a larger view.
I cut the tree frame and outer frame and attached them together with ATG adhesive. I attached several of the colorful leaves to the branches of the tree with glossy accents and then applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.
I cut the bushel basket, assembled it lightly sponged it with brown ink using a mini applicator. I filled the basket with leaves attaching them with glossy accents. I scattered several on the ground area and attached them with glossy accents. I finished by coloring the rake body with a brown marker and attached it to the tree and ground with glossy accents. I left the background totally plain so the colorful leaves would be the total focus.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Card size: 5.50 x 4.25”
Gorgeous!!!!!!
What a pretty card…love the rake…just adds the finishing touch!
What a beautiful scene, I like both of them equally! You are a master at compiling scenes, If I had an Oscar I would give it to you because you definitely deserve it. TFS and have a great weekend!
So adorable Kittie…love it and have missed you. So happy that your class went well..no doubt about that…Those lucky folks that were able to attend…I am so jealous…They must have been in awe of your masterful craft. You are the best.
I love the mini worlds you create for us too see. Looks just like falling leaves. <3
Kittie, this is such a darling class….. such a beautiful real life picture you’ve created…. In fact, my back yard is full of those leaves…. lol. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity…
Wonderfully
I love this tree die too. Each card you make with it is great. Our big town has closed all of it’s stamp stores also and have to drive at least 30 miles to one which is a good one. Sad but true, so I order mostly on line. Keep your wonderful card ideas coming. Edna
Oh, love this one as much as the white one. I knew there would be an apple tree somewhere down the line LOL. Missed you but am glad you had an awesome time. I sure wish I could have been in your class, darn.
Kittie, this card is just over-the-top adorable. The dies remind me of some old Impression Obsession stamps that I have, the ones made especially for water coloring. This is such a perfect Thanksgiving card, I just love it.
