Good Sunday morning. I have two projects to share with you today showing how to use the newly released Snowflake Cutout set in two different ways. One is very clean and simple and one is paired with the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames. Both are very fast and easy to make and could easily be massed produced for your holiday cards.
There are two different parts to each of the snowflakes. Each snowflake has a matching outer frame made separately from the decorative snowflake design. The The outer frame allows the snowflake to be cutout as an independent snowflake . The decorative snowflake die can be used to create the design as a cutout. I thought you might appreciate seeing the snowflakes used both ways to see the versatility of the set.
The first card is pretty self-explanatory. I placed the three snowflakes on the cardstock using my magnetic platform and cut.
I added a simple strip of red ribbon to bring another element of red to the all white background.
I finished by applying strip of mounting tape to pop up the white layer for an element of dimension.
I love these bold snowflakes and thought they would be perfect popped up with the bold white frames against the red background.
I applied thin strips of mounting tape the back of the frames and attached them to the card base.
I finished by popping the snowflakes up with an additional layer of mounting tape to create dimension.
I hope you don’t get tired of my red and white color combination because I love it and you will be seeing more of it over the holiday card making season.
Keep an eye out for the Impression Obsession Fall Release Designer Die Hop starting tomorrow. Our talented team has lots of good stuff to share.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Card sizes: 5.50” x 4.25”
I never get tired of red and white or anything that you make. Red, white and black, at one time, was the only colors you could find in my closet. LOL Now, that I am old and fat, I have expanded my closet colors to black period. Oh, that in not expanding is it!
These are some of my favorite designs of yours. There is so much possibility for variations on this theme. Of course, it is your fabulous composition that really makes these work.
Sorry to ask this, but I’d love to see what you would do with the new die of the three little squirrels. I’ve made two Halloween cards with them, but Your mind goes all kinds of wonderful places, mine does not.
Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration you bring to my crafting!
Loved seeing the snowflake two ways like you did with the tree frame. All great ideas. Red and white is always so pretty and especially for the holidays, how could you go wrong with those colors.
Good Afternoon, Kittie… Well, Let Snow, Let it Snow. This are gorgeous. bright color red to off set the white. Super. Love it.I also love what you made last year with the large White snowflake and deer. You are so talented.
Love to see the squirrels too. they are out of stock at the moment. but on my wish list.
Hugggs and Blessings,

Oh so very pretty…. I absolutely love both of these cards… just not sure which I prefer… lol. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity.
Lovely red and white snowflake cards! 🙂
Just love your designs Kittie!! Look forward to seeing what you will come up with next!!
I love your cards! Beautiful.
I think I’m missing something or I’m just having a brain freeze?
On your first card, did you cut the snowflakes out of white cardstock and then back it in red?
Again, they are very beautiful.
