Winter Florals Pine and Pinecones and Blog Candy Winner

I have a pine and pinecone card to share with you today made using the Tattered Lace Winter Florals set. What a beautiful set of die cut images with pine sprigs, pinecones, acorns and leaves. I used this exact layout and color combination a couple of weeks ago and used Julie’s new Christmas Scribbles stamps.  Today’s project is the same theme and color combination but has a little more dimension.

I colored the pine and pinecones using crushed olive, peeled paint and vintage photo distress ink and applied with a mini applicator.  When I was finished coloring the pieces I applied versa and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I applied vintage photo to the frame using a Color Box stylus and foam tip. I matted the frame with red and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. 

I lightly formed the pine and pinecones using my stylus and molding pad.  I attached several of the larger pine pieces together with glossy accents and attached it to the card base. I tucked the pinecones in the pine branches and attached to the card base with mounting tape. I finished by adding a multi loop gingham bow.

Here’s a closer view of the arrangement.  I love how the pinecone die has circular cuts to create the rough texture of a real cone.
