Impression Obsession

I love making traditional Christmas cards that bring back  memories of my mother’s flower shop and all the pine wreaths and swags she decorated with and sold during the holidays. My project today was made using the newly released Pine Pair sprigs paired with the pinecones from the Pine Sprig Cluster.

I started by applying brown shading to the center of each pine branch with a mini applicator and formed them lightly with my stylus and molding pad. I applied brown ink to the pinecones and applied versa and clear embossing powder to add shine.

I created the double matted frame and attached it to the card base with mounting tape.  I applied glossy accents to the pine and attached them to the card base to create the arrangement.  I attached the three pinecones with glossy accents and then attached the multi loop gingham bow for the finishing touch.

Here’s a closer view.  I adore this pine die set.  They are such a wonderful size for card fronts.

  7. This is an awesome card! I LOVE the colors and the Glossy Accents on the pinecones, they look so real. The other great thing about your card is that it can be used as a masculine card, even with the bow, because that is the way some bouquets/drying plants are held together. TFS and HUGS.
