Leaping Christmas Reindeer

Good Sunday morning.  I love making snowy tree scenes for Christmas. The Impression Obsession Reindeer pairs perfectly with the Fir Trees and the Taylored Expressions Birch Tree Cutting Plate.  The cardinals from the Impression Obsession Birch Trees set adds a perfect touch of red for the finishing touch.

I cut a frame and attached a crimped ground now section to the back of the frame with 1//4” double stick tape.  I cut thin strips of mounting tape and attached to the back of the frame.  I applied pumice stone distress ink to the birch trees with a mini applicator and attached the tree to the back of the frame.  I applied ATG adhesive to the back of the framed trees and attached it to the card base.

I painted the crimped trees with white watercolor paint, dried and then applied clear Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the snow.   I applied antique linen, vintage photo and gathered twigs  distress ink to the reindeer and then attached pine and red berries to the neck for a festive touch and added clear Wink of Stella for sparkle. I attached the trees and reindeer to the scene with mounting tape

  1. Kittie, this is so pretty…. so very festive… a walk in the woods type thing. I really love this card and this is another one I’m gonna have to try….. Whenever I see what you use to make the cards, I always wished you had pictures of your craft room. I can’t imagine all the inks and cool ‘toys’ you have….lol. Thank you for always sharing your wonderful creativity…

  5. Kittie, I have a question, I see you are using the Lifestyle Crafts Dies, Nesting Card Templates on your cards, you previously used the Spellbinders S5-131 Nestabilities Card Creator A-2 Matting Basics A Die Templates, which do you like better? Which are easier to use? I have the Spellbinders and am thinking of getting the Lifestyle dies. Would appreciate your thoughts.
