Welcome to day 3 of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Release Designer Hop. We have some beautiful new stamps to share and gift certificates to give away each day!!! You will want to hop on over to the Impression Obsession design team blog to get all the details. I know you are going to love all the team projects you are going to see this week.
Today’s hop list!
Kittie Caracciolo (that’s me)
I have another fun wintery snowman scene to share with you today using the new Chin Up Snowman and Elegant Pine Trio stamps. What a fun snowman image this guy is with his head tilted back and his nose pointing up to the sky. I framed the scene using the All-in-One Frames Square set and added one more element of red using the cardinals from the Birch Trees die set. The twig arms were cut from the Wide Tree die and the tiny pieces of holly on his arms were cut from the Holly Flourish.
I stamped the snowman twice on white cardstock using black versafine ink and heat dried. I colored the scarves on both images using a red copic marker. I cut the scarf off the second image and popped it up on the main image using glue dots. I wasn’t able to cut the nose and stick arms out well enough to use so I hand cut the nose using orange cardstock and arms from the Wide Tree. Too bad you can’t really see them very well in the photos.
I stamped the trees using black versafine and heat dried before applying the green ink using a mini applicator. I heat dried the green ink so it wouldn’t smudge when I sponged in the blue sky area with ink blending tool. I heat dried again because I needed to be sure every element was dried well before I started applying snow to the trees. I applied white pigment reinker to the tree branches and ground area with a brush, applied white embossing powder and heat dried.
I attached the scene to the red and cream background layers and then attached the red frame over the scene using mounting tape. The completed framed scene was attached to the card base using ATG adhesive. The snowman was tucked in behind the frame and attached with mounting tape. The cardinals were attached to the twig arm branch band background tree using tiny rolled up glue dots. I applied sparkle to the scarf and cardinals with red Wink of Stella.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects our team has shared with you this week. Happy Friday.
