Framed Watering Can of Flowers

Good Monday morning.  Before I start my post I wanted to draw your attention to Ellen Hutson’s 40% off sale in the OVERSTOCK Category! Woo Hoo!  I love a good sale!

I have a watering can scene to share with you today made using the Memory Box Wonderful Watering Can, Impression Obsession Leaves and Stems, Tiny Flowers, Picket Fence, Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames and Icicle Edger.  The fun designer paper background is from the Beau Jardin pad.

I love the tiny flowers in the designer paper and wanted to let as much of it show as possible.  I cut a strip of the icicle edger, cut it into two pieces and attach to the back of the frame.  Next I attached the fence behind the grass, attached thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.

I cut several stems and tiny flowers for the watering can bouquet.  I formed the flowers with my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the tops of the stems with glossy accents.  I started the  bouquet by attaching the shortest flowers in the can first with glossy accents and worked my way up using longer and longer stems to complete the design.  I attached three of the stems to thin strips of cardstock to extend the length to allow them the height for the top flowers.  I hope that made sense.

I attached the can to the scene with mounting tape and then added a few stems and loose flowers around it to soften the bottom of the fence. I think this is such a cheerful card and would be perfect for so many occasions. I love this shade of purple.

Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great week.

Card size:  5.50” x 4.25”
