Impression Obsession “Fall Colors” Challenge & Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty 2015 Day 6

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Fall Colors” challenge.  I love creating clean and simple all white backgrounds with bright and colorful images.  My project today was made using the Wheelbarrow, Reading Tree, Picket Fence, Pumpkin Patch, Grass Border, Small Grass Border, All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2 and Alphabet Plain UC.

The pumpkins were cut using orange cardstock and then shaded with Spiced Marmalade ink and a mini applicator and the stems were colored with a Vintage Photo marker.  The wheelbarrow was cut using gray cardstock and shaded using Rusty Hinge ink and a mini applicator and the wheels and handles were colored with a Black Soot marker. The tree was cut using white cardstock and colored with Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, Rusty Hinge and Spiced Marmalade distress markers.

The fence was attached to the back of the frame using double stick tape.  Thin strips of mounting tape were attached to the back of the frame and then it was attached to the card base. The grass borders were attached to the bottom of the frame with double stick tape.

I attached the pumpkins in the wheelbarrow rolled up glue dots and glossy accents.  I attached a few tiny leaves to the back of several pumpkins from stems I had laying on my desk.  The wheelbarrow was attached in the scene with mounting tape.  I tucked a few pumpkins in the grass and added a few cut leaves. I wanted to add the word “Fall” and attach them so the letters appeared to be falling like the leaves.  I’m not sure I would do that again but once they were attached it was to late to go back.  LOL!

My second project today was made using spare parts that I have had in my “to use later” pile. It was fast and easy and I didn’t even have to get up and go to my counter to sue my Big Shot.  I used the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames, Vase Set, Leaves and Stems and Tiny Flowers.

The frames were attached with mounting tape. The vase was cut to fit inside the small frame and stems and tiny flowers were attached with glossy accents. It was attached to the card base using mounting tape. I love the bright ink against the all white background.

  5. Your cards are beautiful! I, especially, LOVE the FALL sentiment because of the way you uded it. The scene is so authentic, TFS.
The “vase” card is a spectacular work of art. I LOVE everything about it. What color is the red/pink cardstock?? In the description you have the words “I love the bright “ink” and I assumed you meant pink. I would LOVE to know the name of the color. Thank you for your time and TFS.
