Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop Day 2

Good Friday morning and welcome to day two of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter die blog hop. Today our design team is sharing Christmas projects made using dies from the new die release. You can visit the Impression Obsession blog for all the details on how you can have a chance to win an IO gift certificate.

My project today was made using the Santa’s Sled, Hill Landscape Layers, Tree Landscape Layers and the stars from the Sun and Moon set.  The frame was made using the Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Card Templates.

I started by coloring the sled and deer images using copic markers. I painted Santa’s beard and fluffy hat using a tiny brush and pure undiluted white watercolor paint. I cut the tree and ground layers in white and then cut the trees in green.  I cut one section of the larger trees apart and mixed up the arrangement to add a little interest to the design.  I  used gold and clear Wink of Stella to add shine and sparkle to the images.

I attached the ground/tree layers together with ATG adhesive and attached them to the card base.  I attached the frame over top of the scene using thin strips of mounting tape.  The starts were attached in the sky with dots of glossy accents.  The deer and sled were attached in the scene with pieces of mounting tape.  I wanted the deer to look like they were running and preparing for flight.

  3. Hi Kittie, I am guessing that it is a Christmas card LOL and a beautiful one at that. I agree with Karenajo, it looks like Rudolf has said “ready lads, 1,2,3 lift off”. It would make a delightful picture for a child’s room.
So happy to see you back among us again.
    Love, Mary Mac

  12. Awesome scene. Loved it. I do wish you would put pin buttons on the pictures. The pin button you have now will only show your profile picture, (which is very pretty.) I have an older computer that won’t let me use browser pin button codes. Kind of frustrating because I love to pin your beautiful creations.

  13. I really like the scenes you created they remind me of holiday movies. I bet it took awhile to place each star on the card you must have patience of a saint.
