Nordic Santa Silhouette

Good Saturday morning.  Whew!  I am so happy for the weekend to be here.  I have a fast and simple project to share with you today made using the Taylored Expression Sweater Weather Cutting Plate paired with the Impression Obsession Santa’s Sled. The inspiration site for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge today is L.L. Bean and I was inspired by a Nordic hoodie sweater.

I started by attaching the die cut background to the card base with rolled up strips of double stick tape. I crimped the cross layer, attached it to the white background strip and then attached it to the card front using ATG adhesive.

I cut one of Santa’s reindeer off so the complete silhouette die would fit on the card and attached it to the card front using pieces of mounting tape.

Here’s a similar silhouette card I made a while back using designer paper for the background and the Impression Obsession Sled silhouette die and Small Snowflake Set. You can see more details on my Sledding, Snowflake and Merry Christmas post here.

  1. Good Morning, Kittie. when I saw this card,I thought of warm hand knitted sweaters. I love the texture and design. Very unique in the blue and red. the added die cuts, full of love an joy. I feel the shouts of joy on the sled, and the joy of Christmas with the Santa. thanks for inspiring…..love them both….have a good week-end.
